Balkan Jobs is a platform paving the way for easy, hassle-free job applications in the Balkans. The team behind the project aims to provide the flexibility needed to connect with unique talent across the country and guide them toward the right job positions. This will help create better economic opportunities for job seekers while spotlighting transparency and authenticity.
THE CHALLENGES
With online job boards gaining prominence worldwide, the Balkan Jobs team identified the need to localize and simplify the job search by creating a platform that modernizes the job hunt. Essentially, they wanted to create the LinkedIn of the Balkans.
But with such fierce competition, the company needed a website that would stand the test of time, be easily navigable, and provide all the information necessary for transparency, effective expectation-setting, and integrity.
THE SOLUTIONS
Based on the client’s brief, we began brainstorming elements that must be included in the site’s design. Since this was a project unlike any of our past collaborations, our team came up with innovative solutions that kept the job seeker in mind.
Regarding the design, we opted for bright, dynamic colors that incite action – bright blue and yellow, with hints of green for specific CTA buttons. The platform prioritized the listing feature and focused on up-to-date information regarding new job ads. Additionally, it includes a prominent search bar for quick access to desired positions.
Besides the site’s operations, our team also implemented a vetting process for all employers, ensuring the accuracy of each job position. The Balkan Jobs website requires each employer and applicant to input their contact details before listing or applying for a job, guaranteeing authenticity all around.
Last but not least, we emphasized the importance of a dedicated blog section for common questions, where the Balka Jobs team can regularly post about topics concerning the job hunt and the world of work.
As icing on the cake, we included a free CV template to help entry-level and higher-level applicants maximize their efforts and find a job quickly.
THE RESULTS
Although job seekers in the region already had access to online job boards, Balkan Jobs was the first to provide a platform exclusively for North Macedonia. As a result, we saw an influx of applicants looking for jobs on the site and a bevy of employers seeking notable talent online.
The Balkan Jobs website yielded the following results:
- 100,000+ matches between applicants and employers
- 500+ new listings monthly
- 500+ downloads of CV templates
- Increased transparency during the job hunt
